Meet the Founders
We built Verora AI because we believe dental teams deserve technology that works as hard as they do. No more hold music, no more fax machines, no more guesswork.
Thomas Lambert
Co-Founder & CEO
Thomas didn't come from the dental world — and that's exactly the point. With a deep background in physical security, RF shielding, and electronic access control, he spent years solving complex operational problems for organizations where “good enough” wasn't an option. His career has been defined by securing environments that demand zero downtime and absolute technical accuracy.
When a family member's dental visit spiraled into a billing nightmare of claim denials and opaque insurance hurdles, Thomas recognized a familiar pattern: a critical industry being held back by outdated processes and fragmented systems. He saw a sector that needed the same level of rigorous verification and systems-thinking he had applied to high-security infrastructure.
That frustration became Verora AI. Thomas brings a builder's urgency and a consultant's precision to dental insurance verification. By automating the tedious and eliminating the guesswork, he's giving practice teams the “secure” foundation they need to focus on what matters most: their patients.
Matt Burkhardt
Co-Founder
Matt didn't take the easy route to Verora — and that's exactly why he's here. He spent four years at Epic, the largest electronic health records platform in the country, implementing clinical software inside hospitals while his peers were still figuring out their first job. He went from there to a Kellogg MBA, and then to Google, where he's spent nearly five years as a Product Manager shipping consumer-scale products.
Epic to Kellogg to Google is not a path. It's a climb. Most people stop at the first wall. Matt didn't. The same engine that got him there shows up everywhere else in his life: he's a professional pickleball player on the PPA Tour, competing in PPA Challenger events while holding down a senior role at Google. Most people pick one. Matt refuses to. Grit isn't a story he tells — it's a schedule he keeps.
When Thomas reached out about Verora AI, Matt saw exactly what the legacy players had decided was impossible — and exactly what it would take to build it. He brings the operator's intuition, the product manager's discipline, and the athlete's refusal to coast. Outside of work, you'll find him chasing waterfalls with his nephew, traveling, and hunting down the best (and mostly healthy) meal in whatever city he just landed in.
Two Builders. One Bet.
We come from different worlds — physical security and risk management on one side, healthcare software and product on the other — but we share the same refusal to coast. Verora AI is the result of that refusal: an autonomous insurance verification engine built by people who don't accept “that's just how it's always been” as an answer.
When we're not building, we're usually outside, somewhere with our families, somewhere with water.

Why We Built Verora AI
Every dental practice we've talked to shares the same story: hours wasted on hold, fax machines that feel stuck in the 90s, and a verification process that steals time from patient care. We're building the platform we wish existed — one that handles insurance verification intelligently so your team can get back to doing what they love.
